The Five Dysfunctions of a Team workshop guides a group through a series of powerful exercises that help team members improve in each of five key fundamentals; trust, conflict, commitment, accountability, and results. This is a practical process that provides teams with information and strategies they can put to use immediately and apply on an ongoing basis. It is offered as a half day, full day and two day program depending on the objectives of the team.

What's My Communication Style?

What's My Communication Style provides insight into our everyday communications with others. This assessment is appropriate for individuals at any organizational level who want to discover more about themselves and their communication preferences. The workshop helps participants understand the various forms of communication and learn how to "flex" their own personal style to improve communication. This program is offered as a half day or full day.

Objectives:
  1. Understand how communication impacts our relationships with others.
  2. Identify personal communication style.
  3. Understand the four communication styles.
  4. Discover a quick way to identify the styles of others.
  5. Understand how to use style to improve communication.

What’s My Leadership Style?

Effective leaders positively influence the behaviour of their followers, getting them to work toward shared goals (Hersey & Blanchard, 1982). But leaders have different ways in which they characteristically influence others. What’s My Leadership Style allows participants to gain awareness to their own leadership styles. With this information, they will be able to make deliberate choices about the most effective way to lead in difference situations. This program is offered as a full day workshop.

Objectives:

  1. Identify their leadership styles
  2. Learn how to capitalize on the strengths and overcome the trouble spots of their styles
  3. Learn how to interact effectively with other styles

Mastering the Change Curve

Every individual, team, and organization today faces a constant variety of major and minor changes. Mastering the Change Curve will help you to understand your own reactions to these changes so that you can move more quickly, completely, and effectively through the change process. This program is offered as a half day or full day workshop.

Objectives:

  1. Explore the psychological process that people experience to come to terms with change
  2. Understand and plan your own personal transitions through current and future changes
  3. Identify productive and non-productive change behaviours when working with others
  4. Explore the opportunities for action, through 3 stages of transition
  5. Identify specific actions that will improve your ability to facilitate and lead change

Coaching with the  Coaching Trilogy

In today's competitive environment, the differentiating advantage between one company and another is most often the strength and resilience of employees. But in order to achieve this strength, it is essential to provide effective coaching that will encourage employees offer their discretionary effort. This is often referred to as employee engagement, and there are many programs designed to improve engagement but it is our belief that it all comes down to relationships. People work for people, and it is the relationships that drive engagement and results. This workshop is designed to provide leaders with the basics of how to coach employee with differing engagement and performance levels. It can be offered in half day but for a richer experience is best facilitated as a full day.

  3. Using questions to create dialogue that explores performance and establishes tangible goals

Customized Team Building Workshops

We offer team building workshops which are custom designed to accomplish the team’s individual objectives and may incorporate one or more tools from the workshops above. We incorporate coaching as a vital component of these workshops as we take participants on a journey to discover behaviours that inhibit them from achieving the desired results and also the hidden strengths they can utilize to take them to the next level. These workshops can be half day, full day or two days depending on the objectives and the current state of the team.


Goal Setting

Goal setting can be an arduous task and is often avoided or not done effectively leading to challenges when it comes to year end discussions and ratings. Our approach is to lead teams through an interactive workshop where employees will develop goals that support the strategic or organizational goals and are aligned vertically and horizontally. This creates a transparent process that promotes teamwork and supports inter-dependencies between groups. It will build objectives that can be confidently evaluated at the end of the performance cycle. These workshops are typically either ½ day or full day depending on the size of the group.


Calibrating Performance Ratings

If we think goal setting is difficult, the heart wrenching task of rating employees can be even more challenging. Similar to the goal setting process, this workshop takes a team approach to establishing employee ratings. It ensures performance ratings are applied consistently among all employees. The Calibration Process can be completed in as little as a few hours depending on the size of the team.
